I am amazed that God has chosen to communicate with mankind, and He has done so fully in His Word.  If you desire to hear from God – read His Word, and you will hear from God.

Mankind has always had a propensity toward desiring to hear from God through “mystical” experience – dreams, visions, feeling, signs, etc…   It is not that God is incapable of communicating through such means, it is that He has chose to use other means in our day.  In Hebrews 1:1-2 we learn that God has chose to communicate through His Son Jesus Christ.  We learn in John 14:25-26; 15:26-27; and 16:12-15 that the Father and the Son will communicate their message through the Holy Spirit to God’s people.  When we take into account 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 2 Peter 1:20-21, we come to the conclusion that God’s Word is truly God’s message to mankind.  Again, if you desire to hear God speak to you – read His Word.
