What a thought to have a group where you as a Christ follower give non-believers a forum to explore their doubts and questions about Christianity. This seems to be a very delicate environment. It is apparent that there cannot be a large number of Christ followers in any one group (too many answer givers). It is also obvious that those Christ followers who are involved must really love God and non-believers, so that they will not bombard those who are seeking with endless “easy” answers. As I begin to look into the idea of seeker small groups I begin to realize that the key to the whole environment is listening well and asking good questions. If the leader does this consistently with a caring heart, over time God will create opportunities for more pointed personal discussion about the need for reconciliation between God and man.
If you are thinking about seeker small groups, read Gary Poole’s book by the same name.
